San Francisco September 8, 2007: The INFOCUS group of Indian Christian community of the greater San Francisco Bay area celebrated Monthi Fest at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, San Jose, CA.
The nativity celebrations began with a procession as children walked with flowers in their hands to offer to Mother Mary. Fr. George Aranha offered the mass which was attended by a large gathering. Children took an active part in the service with choir and reading. The coordinator of INFOCUS Cresentia Lobo thanked the gathering and announced the forthcoming get-together.
The Indian Catholic community (INFOCUS) consists of Catholics residing in Bay Area, a majority of whom hail from Mangalore. They celebrate important festivals and get together first Sunday of every month.
The mass was followed by a luncheon at the nearest park. People enjoyed over 25 varieties of delicious Indian food which was prepared and brought by the members. The lunch was followed by various games participated actively by everyone.
